Simple tool for forecasting SaaS and subscription revenue models.

Financial model template for a SaaS or subscriptions business for consumer, SMB, mid-market or enterprise clients. The model uses key assumptions -- pricing, user lifespan, sales growth and more -- to generate a revenue forecast and key performance indicators (MRR, LTV, LTV/CAC ratio, etc).

This model also calculates churn, renewals (retention), cash flow, revenue per subscriber, and deferred revenue. All forecasted data is translated into a column format to make it easy to create your own graphs and charts.

The model can be used in Microsoft Excel by downloading an .xlsx file from Google Sheets. The model functions in both applications just fine but Google Sheets tends to have better formatting options. There are no macros or VBA. The model was originally created in Google Sheets. You may need to adjust chart formats in Microsoft Excel.

The latest version of this model, which include periodic enhancements based on user feedback, is always available by logging into Gumroad and downloading a new copy from your account.
